Pleasant Hill Winery

A short drive from Scenic Hill! Stroll amongst the grapevines, take the tour, or sit out on the deck and sip a glass. They often have events.

Directions: From Scenic Hill, go Northeast on FM 332, heading towards Brenham. Turn Right on FM 3456 and south until you come to Salem Rd. Pleasant Hill Winery is at Salem Rd and FM 3456.

located on a 360 acre ranch, the winery and tasting room were established in a renovated horse barn. The rolling hills offer scenic views of the vineyard and ranch and a peaceful setting for your enjoyment.

Directions: Take 290 West towards Austin. Right before you hit Burton (about 8 miles west of Brenham), turn Right on FM 1948.

Drive one mile North on FM 1948. The entrance is on the right.

Windy Winery

Wine Tastings are available. They have a deck beside their vineyard for sipping wine, which overlooks the rolling hills of Washington County. They often have events.

Directions: From Saddlehorn Winery, go back east on 290. You will pass the exit to TX 36. Drive east another 0.6 miles. Turn left on FM 577, and drive north 3 miles. Turn right on Tx 105 and drive northeast 2 miles. Turn left on FM 50 and drive north 2.8 miles. Turn right on Clover Rd. Stay on the paved road for less than a mile, until you come to Windy Winery on your left.

Buffalo Creek Winery

Hours: Thu and Fri 5-10, Sat 1-10.

This is well worth the visit, even though they have not started wine-production at this writing. Just south of Bellville on Hwy 36. They have a very nice indoor-outdoor wine-tasting facility, and large selection of wines to choose from. Their back deck has a fireplace and expansive views. Call for information on weekend events, food and live music.

Oh yes, they’ve got some Buffalo!

Directions: Drive back to 290, and TX 36. Head South on TX 36 to Bellville – 16 miles. Drive through Bellville, staying on Hwy 36. You will circle around the Bellville town square. 6 Blocks from the Town Square, TX 36 takes a Right at S. Front St. Follow TX 36 South for 3.5 miles. Buffalo Creek Winery will be to your right.

Rendez-Vous Wine Bar and Restaurant – On South Side of the Brenham Town Square. This is a great European-Style venue with a wide selection of reasonably-priced wines, paired with light lunch and dinner fare. A great “Mom and Pop” winery is Rosemary's Vineyard and Winery, 5 miles east of LaGrange, on Highway 71. Visit downtown Fayetteville en-route for a fun selection of town-square restaurants and antique stores.
