Other Day Trips

This Quick Day Trip has something for every member of the family, and is a nice General Introduction to the town of Brenham.

Spend an hour or two at Horseshoe Junction

Located behind  Westwood Cinema 6, just west of Brenham on 290  ( 2100 Hwy 290, West)

Playing together can add a lot to a vacation, and this is a great way to get in some healthy horsing around.

Horseshoe Junction features a Go-Cart raceway, bumper-boats, laser tag, arcade games, a rock wall and a small bowling alley.

Great Lunch Choices:

Funky Art Café  202 W. Commerce (with an entrance off of W. Alamo St.), Downtown Brenham.  Food is reasonably priced, and offerings range from the simple to the sophisticated.  This building also has a nice coffee shop and boutique mixed in.

Must Be Heaven , 107 W. Alamo, Downtown Brenham.   This has an ice cream parlor featuring Bluebell Ice Cream (what else?) and reasonably priced sandwiches, soups, salads, quiches and deserts.

BT Longhorn Saloon and Steakhouse. 205 S Baylor St, just off the square.   Casual dining in a historic 1800’s building, with an amazing antique bar.

YUMM! Sweets and Eats.  106 E. Alamo, Downtown.   This features light lunch fare and an adjacent chocolate, ice cream, and candy store.

Downtown Brenham is loaded with great little antique stores and Boutiques.   It’s definitely worth a spin around the square, and up and down W. Alamo Street, and W. Commerce Street (1 block south).  There are plenty of shops within a 4 block radius to make this an entertaining post-lunch stroll.

Round off your afternoon with a tour and some wine tasting at Pleasant Hill Winery. Stroll amongst the grapevines, or sit out on the deck and sip a glass.
